Clare has worked in government executive positions for over 20 years including in Queensland Education and was the CEO of the Department of Transport. Clare has worked as Head of Strategy, Planning and Innovation at Infrastructure NSW and as Deputy Secretary, Freight, Strategy and Planning at Transport for NSW. In these roles, Clare provided advice to government, transport and construction sectors on safety, funding priorities, planning, freight and national policy.Clare has held board positions at the NSW Telco Authority, Austroads, Roads Australia. Clare is an advocate for diversity and inclusion, women in leadership and workforce flexibility.
Gino Dompietro
Facilitator
Gino Dompietro has over 25 years of infrastructure development and business consulting experience. He has guided and mentored local and international teams in the formulation and implementation of business improvement and growth strategies for a range of private and government clients and led hundreds of financial transactions and infrastructure projects in transport, power and energy, ICT and aviation. Gino routinely takes senior leadership roles in major infrastructure development and delivery projects, particularly in areas where technical, commercial, financial, and contracting strategy are a focus. After a long and successful career in a range of client facing roles in private industry, government and consulting, Gino is now working as a freelance advisor to major companies, focusing mainly on renewable energy and transportation-related projects and transactions.
Lauren Streifer
Facilitator and MC
Lauren Streifer is the Founder and CEO of Streifer&Co – A global CEO advisory and stakeholder engagement firm. Lauren has more than 15 years of experience working with global infrastructure companies and state and federal governments. She has extensive experience in the civil infrastructure, transport, engineering, international development and event management sectors. She is also a passionate MC and diversity campaigner.
Simon Leeper
Facilitator
Simon has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years. He commenced working on site in the UK as a Civil Engineer. After 10 years he relocated to Australia, completed a Project Management Masters and has since delivered due diligence and feasibility studies with consultants and design and construction of projects with contractors in Australia and Asia. Key roles include leading Samsung C&T Australia into joint venture teams to deliver 3 multibillion-dollar packages of the Westconnex motorway in Sydney. More recently Simon, as General Manager of Strabag Australia, has been focused on green energy projects including design and bidding on major pumped hydro schemes working with international teams.
Sonia Zavesky

Sonia was a former ABC journalist, presenter, local government reporter, NSW political reporter, and newsroom Chief of Staff. She is a mentor and facilitator with the Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET). Her previous clients are Sydney Metro, Transport for NSW, Dept of Premier and Cabinet, NSW, Infrastructure Australia, Westconnex, Transurban, Western Sydney Airport, John Holland Group, and Port Authority of NSW.
